Missions -Love in Action

We are dedicated to being the hands and feet of Christ in our community and beyond. Through a variety of outreach programs, we aim to meet both physical and spiritual needs, building bridges of hope and connection.

Our missions include:

Local Community Engagement

Partnering with organizations and hosting events to support families, children, and individuals in need right here in Blanco.

Global Outreach

Supporting missionaries and initiatives that bring the Gospel and essential resources to people around the world.

Special Projects

From disaster relief to seasonal giving campaigns, we seek to make an impact wherever there is a need.

We invite you to join us in living out this mission. Whether through prayer, giving, or hands-on involvement, there is a place for everyone to make a difference.

Mary Park

Our missions leader

Mary Park has been an unwavering pillar of service at First Baptist Church Blanco since she and her husband, David, moved to the area in 2007. The Parks joined our church family soon after arriving, and David served faithfully as interim pastor from 2013 to 2014. Throughout their time here, Mary has demonstrated the spirit of Philippians 2:4, “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others,” in every aspect of her life.

As Head of Missions, Mary’s leadership extends across multiple ministries. She serves on the church council, leads our new member classes, and organizes our community English classes, which have become a vital part of our outreach, helping Spanish speakers gain the language skills they need to thrive. Her leadership has shaped these programs into something truly special, impacting lives and connecting people in meaningful ways.

1 Peter 4:10
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another

Mary’s dedication to others is a reflection of Christ’s love—her service impacts lives in profound ways, and her leadership inspires us all to serve with compassion and purpose. We are blessed beyond measure by her unwavering commitment to the work of God’s kingdom.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

Inspired by the legacy of Southern Baptist missionary Lottie Moon, who served in China from 1873 to 1912, this offering addresses the world’s greatest problem—lostness. Lottie’s heartfelt letters to American churches challenged them to increase prayer and financial support for missionaries. Today, this offering continues her mission by sending and sustaining those who bring the Gospel to unreached areas. This year, the offering will be held from December 1-8, giving us the opportunity to join in her legacy of spreading the Gospel.

Mary Hill Davis Week of Prayer

On September 14-21, 2025, churches and individuals are encouraged to pray, promote and support Texas Baptists ministries and missionaries serving and sharing the Gospel around the state and world. The Mary Hill Davis Week of Prayer was established in 1935 and named after Mary Hill Davis, a leader who inspired Baptist women in Texas to pray and give to mission efforts, this week focuses on supporting state missions. Your gifts to the Mary Hill Davis Offering empower missions for Texas Baptists and continue to make a lasting impact.

Laurel Branch Baptist Church

Help with their rebuild from Hurricane Helene’s destruction. The Finance Committee has established a fund for Laurel Branch Baptist Church so that offerings can now be received for helping that church in Burnsville, NC recover from damage to the church caused by Hurricane Helene.
